For many people, emotions and thought exist as opposites in the area of human behaviour. Emotions engage sensitivity and instinctive reactions. Thinking relies on intellect and rationale. Emotions are seen as feminine. Thinking as masculine. Emotions are vague, irrational and hinder performance. Thoughts deliver clear, reasoned action.

But are these traditional definitions valid?

Emotions are an internal GPS system. Do you know what your feelings are saying? Greater possibilities arise from better understanding emotions. Effective emotional management leads to better performance. An awareness of thought AND emotion leads to more effective choices, stronger relationships and improved self-mastery.
